About Maddie Vet Physio

Maddie Robbins Veterinary Physiotherapy provides physiotherapy for both horses and dogs in West, South and Mid Wales. Maddie is a Master’s qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist having studied at Writtle University College, Essex for four years.

Maddie is a fully registered and insured veterinary physiotherapist and is a member of both RAMP (Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners) and the NAVP (National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists) which gives owners confidence in choosing a professional, knowledgeable and competent practitioner. This ensures that animals are always given the highest level of care.

Having always had a soft spot for animals, horses have been Maddie’s passion since a very young age. She has worked with both horses and dogs throughout her teenage years and has always had the animal’s best interest at heart which led her to follow the Veterinary Physiotherapy career where she is able to make a difference for the better.

Physiotherapy can be of great benefit to horses and dogs and is used as a non-invasive therapy to relieve pain, manage common conditions, enhance movement, improve physical wellbeing and for rehabilitation post-surgery or injury. This is done through different methods including manual techniques such as massage and stretching, electrotherapy such as laser and pulse magnetic field therapy and through remedial exercise prescription.

If you are interested in having your animal seen by a physiotherapist, it is essential that veterinary permission is gained first to deem the animal fit for physiotherapy. This is in accordance with the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966. Feel free to get in contact with Maddie Robbins Veterinary Physiotherapy where a Veterinary referral form will be sent to you for your Veterinarian to complete. Alternatively, Maddie can contact your Veterinary Surgeon directly.
